Brave the elements and help GDM Habitat build through the winter. Indoor and outdoor work must go on to make sure we meet our goals to provide low income families affordable homeownership! We will have a monthly prize drawing from that month's volunteers.
Rock the Block
Rock the Block events are part of GDM Habitat's Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. Homeowners in select areas can apply for minor home repair, weatherization, or landscaping projects. Hundreds of volunteers work with Habitat staff and homeowners on a day or weekend to help transform area neighborhoods.

The Habitat ReStore is now open at 2200 E. Euclid Avenue in Des Moines! Shop, donate, volunteer, and support the mission of GDM Habitat.

Habitat ReStore
Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells new and used home improvement materials to the public at discounted prices. ALL proceeds from ReStore benefit the mission of Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity.
Welcome
Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity partners with the community and with God's people in need to build hope and a greater Des Moines. In partnership we provide decent and affordable homeownership for qualified low-income families. We are a uniquely local and tangible philanthropy welcoming all to join in building a better community.
